Gift Ideas for that friend who has everything

We all have that friend. (S)he has almost everything that s(he) wished for. What on Earth could you be getting them so it won’t grow their pile of already owned stuff?

We all know the drill of buying a gift. I for one, love it. It’s just amazing the feeling you get when you see someone opening their gift and feeling like a kid. It’s that joy and excitement, you can read on their face. Especially when you nailed it and got something they really love and did not expect you to get it.

But how? How do you nail it? Most people hate the process. And it’s not because they don’t know the person or don’t pay enough attention. It’s just because they don’t feel sure about their idea making you happy. Especially when the person you have to buy a gift for already has everything.

Have you thought about experiences?

Why experiences as a gift? Well, because instead of getting one more item they’ll put on the shelf to collect dust or one more body lotion that yes, smells heavenly but it’ll be over soon, maybe give them a memory they’ll have forever.

I know, you experience it just once but that’s the beauty of it. It will never be the same again. You’ll buy them a unique moment. What can be more awesome than that?

So, let’s dive in. First, think about your friend. When you buy a gift the first rule is to think about what they’ll love, not what you like. So, does (s)he like to spend time outdoor? Maybe you could try to offer them some adventure time – by themselves or with you. Do they love a good adrenaline rush or they’d rather just chill? Check our outdoorsy experiences, might give you a good start.

If nature is not really what makes them tick, maybe trying out new stuff will make them smile. What about a good challenge, a way to work on themselves or develop new skills or maybe just enjoy yumsy stuff in town. Take a look, browse through and imagine their face when they see it. You’ll know what to pick.

Now, the gift wrapping. There are several ways to proceed:

Save the Planet, go with email. You can email the voucher to your friend. Besides not having to worry about gift wrapping and printing the voucher you help saving the planet by not wasting paper.

If you must, print it out – If your friend is really like a kid and they need to have that joy of unwrapping the gift you can always print it out. I don`t know about others but our vouchers look pretty cool ?.

Also, if you really feel the need to buy an item – something physical, here’re some clues. I’d suggest to buy something that goes with the experience. Of course, it all depends on your budget and creative skills here. Let’s say you bought them a cool outdoorsy escape. You can get them something to use when going to the experience. Like a sports jacket, some hiking accessories or just some sunscreen lotion. Or some toilet paper in case they love it so much they don’t want to come back to real life. What I like to do though, is focus more on the experience and maybe get them something small that gives them a clue about it and also serves as a reminder of that day. Like if I’ve bought a friend a cocktail tasting experience maybe I’ll also buy a shot glass or a cool cocktail glass to go with the voucher. Or a bouquet of carrots to go with their personalized nutrition plan. Or a cool T-shirt with a funny message related to the experience. You get the drill.

Also, some of our experiences are designed to get crafty so either you can create a highly personalized gift or let your friend enjoy it to the fullest and craft their own stuff while enjoying an awesome time out.

So browse through and pick the one that’ll make your friend tick.
